- ATV Riding - Although you can't ride ATV's in the
Fishlake Basin it is just a short trailer distance to some
of the world's best ATV trail rides. The forest service has
improved the trailheads and signage of the local trails. The
Paiute
Trail System is just over the hill at Koosharem. My
favorite is to load up the ATV's and drive over to the
Goosebury Trail System. We take the seven mile creek road
and drive up a couple of miles from Johnson Reservoir and
unload there. There are hundreds of miles of trails with a
variety of terrains.
- Camping - Dispersed camping is allowed outside of
the Fishlake Basin. Take the Mytoge Mountain road or the
Hancock Flat road and pick your spot. At Fishlake their are
several
Forest Service Campgrounds and two private trailer parks
at Lakeside and Bowery Haven.
- Stargazing - The skys are cystal clear
here and at almost 9,000 feet you'll feel like you can reach
out and touch the stars.
There may be more in the sky than you might want to know
about. Just check out

Hiking - The Lake Shore Trail is perfect for
a stroll or for the adventurous hike
The
Great Western Trail which goes from Mexico to Canada and
skirts Fishlake.
Snowmobiling - Don't let your Fishlake fun stop when
the snow flies. Fishlake also has hundreds of miles of
Snowmobile Trails |
